Contact & next steps
Let's make the next step easier to understand
Whether you have a new toothache or an older root filling that needs checking, gathering a few details can make your first conversation with a dental practice more useful.
Appointment information
Contact details are being confirmed
There is no verified phone number or booking link available for this website yet. Please contact your own dentist for assessment or an appropriate referral. Practice contact details should be published here once verified.
What information is helpful?
You do not need to diagnose yourself. It helps to mention which side of your mouth is affected, how long you have been uncomfortable, and whether symptoms are triggered by biting or hot and cold foods.
Tell the dental practice about any previous root canal treatment, crowns, dental injuries or recent X-rays. Your dentist may be able to send records as part of a referral.
Questions worth asking before arranging treatment
- Will the first visit be for diagnosis, treatment or both?
- Is a referral needed, and who will complete the final crown or filling?
- What will the consultation and treatment cost, and what alternatives are available?
- Which clinician will provide care, and can their GDC registration be checked?
When pain cannot wait
For severe toothache, swelling or an injury, seek urgent dental care rather than waiting for routine availability. In England, NHS 111 can advise when you cannot access an urgent dental appointment. If you have difficulty breathing or swallowing, call 999 or go to A&E.
Before an assessment
- Make a note of your symptoms and when they started
- Have a list of current medication and relevant health conditions
- Ask your dentist about existing images or treatment history
- Prepare questions about restoration, costs and follow-up
